Below you’ll find some of my students’ work in various art classes I taught.

Art 4544/5724: Animated Short Film

Short film Book

Unlike the other two classes below, the Animated Short Film class focused on one single collaborative project between all of the students. The goal was to simulate a real company environment, with groups of students focusing on different aspects of a 3D animation pipeline. Ultimately the class did not finish the short film in the single semester provided, but in
stead created this book documenting their process, successes, and failures, which they can use as a learning reference in future projects.

Art 3704/5704: Sculpting in ZBrush

The ZBrush class focused on 3D modeling forms in the ZBrush program environment. The curriculum involved a combination of technical workshops and personal studio time, allowing students to become comfortable with the sculpting tools and learning character design principles along the way. Students were allowed to pursue abstract, stylized, and realistic avenues depending on their interests.

Art 2704: 3D Computer Animation

The 3D Animation class focused on the introduction to 3D development within the Maya program environment. The curriculum involved several mini projects that focused on teaching different aspects of the pipeline: basic modeling, uv mapping, texturing, rigging, animation, and rendering. Students were allowed to pursue any idea for a project they wanted, as long as they were learning the technical requirements along the way.
