The Speckled Mimic is the first piece in my series of nature mimicry. Based on the Hydnellum Peckii and the Pleurotus Djamor fungi, this woodland mushroom has adapted to its environment by mimicking nearby creatures for growth and survival. It typically imitates creatures with few predators, choosing a bright color scheme for added protection. The fungus is often found growing near the dead species it mimics.
